General information
PrintyTools provides free online utilities and general information for preparing print layouts, photos, documents, labels, cards and PDF files. We work to make the tools useful and clear, but errors or compatibility problems can occur.
Printing accuracy
A file can contain correct page measurements while a printer still changes the output. Printer drivers may add non-printable margins, scale the page, expand borderless printing or shift the paper.
- Choose Actual Size or 100% in the print dialog.
- Turn off Fit to Page, Shrink and automatic scaling.
- Confirm the selected paper size and orientation.
- Measure a test print before printing a large batch.
Use the Printer Scale and Alignment Calibration Tool when physical measurements are important.
Passport, visa and identity photos
Photo sizes and acceptance rules can differ by country, application type, authority and date. A size preset does not guarantee acceptance. You must check current instructions from the relevant embassy, passport authority, immigration office or other official organisation.
Cheques, forms and official documents
Alignment tools are provided for lawful printing on documents that you are authorised to use. Bank, employer, courier and government requirements can vary. PrintyTools does not verify, approve or certify a completed document.
Do not use any tool for forgery, fraud, impersonation, alteration of official information or violation of another person's rights.
PDF and image output
Conversion, merge, split and compression results can depend on the source file, browser memory, fonts, forms, signatures, encryption and unsupported PDF features. Compression may reduce visual quality, especially when a very small target size is selected. Keep an unchanged copy of every important original file.
Privacy notices
Many tools are designed for browser-side processing, but you should read the privacy notice on the individual tool before choosing a sensitive file. Your browser, device, extensions and third-party services may operate separately from PrintyTools. Read our Privacy Policy.

No guarantee
To the extent allowed by applicable law, PrintyTools does not guarantee uninterrupted access, perfect compatibility, a specific compression result, acceptance by an authority or exact output from every printer. You use the tools and resulting files at your own discretion and responsibility.
